Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Armanov d.o.o. operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). The Services are powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1 — Personal information we collect or process

When we use the term "personal information," we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified so that it cannot identify or be reasonably linked to you. We may collect or process the following categories of personal information, including inferences drawn from this personal information, depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live, and as permitted or required by applicable law:

  • Contact details including your name, address, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address.
  • Financial information including payment card information, transaction details, form of payment, and payment confirmation. We do not store your full card details — these are handled directly by our payment processors.
  • Account information including your username, password, security questions, preferences and settings.
  • Transaction information including the items you view, put in your cart, add to your wishlist, or purchase, return, exchange or cancel, and your past transactions.
  • Communications with us including the information you include in communications with us, for example when sending a customer support inquiry.
  • Device information including information about your device, browser, or network connection, your IP address, and other unique identifiers.
  • Usage information including information regarding your interaction with the Services, including how and when you interact with or navigate the Services.

Personal information sources

We may collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you — when you create an account, visit or use the Services, communicate with us, or otherwise provide us with your personal information.
  • Automatically through the Services — from your device when you use our products or services or visit our website, and through the use of cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers — when we engage them to enable certain technology and when they collect or process your personal information on our behalf.
  • From our partners or other third parties — as described in this Privacy Policy.

2 — How we use your personal information

Depending on how you interact with us or which of the Services you use, we may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide, tailor, and improve the Services. We use your personal information to process payments, fulfill orders, send order notifications, manage your account, arrange shipping, facilitate returns and exchanges, and create a personalized shopping experience.
  • Marketing and advertising. We use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send marketing and promotional communications by email, and to show you relevant advertisements on our Services or other websites, including based on your past purchases or browsing activity.
  • Security and fraud prevention. We use your personal information to authenticate your account, provide a secure payment and shopping experience, and detect, investigate or take action regarding possible fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity.
  • Communicating with you. We use your personal information to provide customer support, respond to your inquiries, and maintain our business relationship with you.
  • Legal reasons. We use your personal information to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, enforce our terms or policies, and investigate potential violations.

3 — How we disclose personal information

In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy. Such circumstances may include:

  • Shopify and service providers — vendors and other third parties who perform services on our behalf, including IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment and shipping.
  • Payment processors — we share necessary information with our payment processors to complete transactions. We do not store your full card details. Our payment processors are Stripe and PayPal, both of which adhere to PCI-DSS standards.
  • Fulfillment partner — we share your shipping name, address, and order details with our US fulfillment partner (Marketplace Prep, Fort Worth, TX) for the purpose of packing and dispatching your order.
  • Business and marketing partners — to provide marketing services and advertise to you. Our partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. You may have a right to opt out of targeted advertising — see Section 6 below.
  • At your direction — when you request or consent to disclosure, such as to ship products or through social media integrations.
  • Legal and compliance — in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, to comply with applicable legal obligations, to respond to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests, and to enforce our terms of service or policies.

4 — Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information and any rights you may have, you can visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You may also exercise certain rights with respect to Shopify-processed data via the Shopify Privacy Portal.

5 — Security & retention

Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." We implement commercially reasonable security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption and restricted access controls, to protect your personal information. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.

How long we retain your personal information depends on different factors, such as whether we need the information to maintain your account, to provide you with Services, comply with legal obligations (including tax and accounting requirements, generally a minimum of 7 years), resolve disputes, or enforce other applicable contracts and policies.

6 — Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your browsing experience on our Store. Cookies are small data files placed on your device that help us remember your preferences, keep items in your cart, and understand how you interact with our Services.

  • Essential cookies — required for the Store to function, including shopping cart, checkout, and account login.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Store, including which pages are visited and how long users spend on them (e.g. Google Analytics).
  • Marketing cookies — used to show you relevant advertisements on third-party platforms based on your visits to our Store.

You can control cookie settings through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Store. You should still be able to browse and place orders even with analytics and marketing cookies disabled.

7 — Behavioral remarketing

Armanov d.o.o. uses remarketing services to advertise on third-party websites to you after you have visited our Store. We and our third-party vendors use cookies to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Services.

Google Analytics & Ads — we use Google Analytics to monitor and analyze traffic and may use Google Ads remarketing to show you relevant ads. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor use of our Services and may use it to contextualize ads across its network. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can manage how Google advertises to you via the Google Ads Settings page.

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google, use first-party cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as advertising cookies) to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be shared with third parties for marketing, advertising, or analytics purposes.

8 — Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. Our Store does not currently respond to DNT browser signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for compliance. However, if you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal enabled, we will treat this as an opt-out request as required under applicable law.

9 — Email communications (CAN-SPAM Act)

In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all commercial emails we send will clearly identify Armanov d.o.o. as the sender, will not use false or misleading subject lines or sender addresses, will include our physical mailing address, and will provide a clear and easy mechanism to unsubscribe.

We collect your email address in order to:

  • Send order confirmations, invoices, and updates pertaining to your order.
  • Respond to inquiries and customer support requests.
  • Send marketing communications about our products and promotions, where you have opted in or where permitted by law.

To unsubscribe from marketing emails, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email or contact us at support@armanov.com. We will promptly remove you from all marketing correspondence. Note that we may still send you transactional emails related to your account or orders.

10 — Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below in relation to your personal information. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and in certain cases we may decline your request as permitted by law.

  • Right to access / know — request access to personal information that we hold about you.
  • Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right of portability — receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you in a commonly used electronic format.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising — depending on where you reside, you may have a right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information or to opt out of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal enabled, we will treat this as an opt-out request for the device and browser you use to visit the website.
  • Managing communication preferences — you may opt out of receiving promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email. We may still send you non-promotional emails about your account or orders.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details provided below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf — we will require proof of authorization before accepting such requests. We will respond to your request in a timely manner as required under applicable law (within 45 days for CCPA requests).

11 — Children's data

The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of 13. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, please contact us using the details below to request that it be deleted. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

12 — International transfers

Please note that we may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside the country you live in. Armanov d.o.o. is headquartered in Slovenia, European Union. Your information may be transferred to and processed in Slovenia and in the United States (via our fulfillment partner and Shopify's infrastructure).

If we transfer your personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or any equivalent contracts issued by the relevant competent authority, unless the data transfer is to a country that has been determined to provide an adequate level of protection.

13 — Complaints

If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

14 — Third-party links

The Services may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites. Our inclusion of such links does not imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators, except as disclosed on the Services.

15 — Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this website and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
